FRIDAY OCTOBER 6, 2000

There will be an abbreviated trading schedule on Friday, October 6, 2000. Agricultural and Equity Quadrants will close at their regular time.  Currencies and Interest Rates will close at noon.

There will be an abbreviated trading schedule on Friday, October 6, 2000.  Agricultural and Equity Quadrants will close at their regular time.  Currencies and Interest Rates will close at noon.

MONDAY OCTOBER 9, 2000

Monday, October 9, 2000, U.S. Banks will be closed in observance of Columbus Day. The CME will be open on Monday, October 9, 2000.  Currencies and Interest Rates will be closed.  Agricultural and Equity Index products will be open for trading, and close at their regular time.

Currencies and Interest Rates will be open on GLOBEX from 5:30 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2000 until 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 9, 2000. Currencies and Interest Rates will re-open at their regular time.  Equities and Agricultural products on GLOBEX will operate on their normal schedules.

The Singapore Exchange will be open for trading Monday, October 9, 2000.

A. INTRA-DAY VARIATION AND PERFORMANCE BOND SCHEDULE                  

The Clearing House will not conduct an Intra-Day settlement cycle on Monday, October 9, 2000.

Intra-Day SPAN files will not be generated on Monday, October 9, 2000.  The Early and Final SPAN files will be produced at their normal times. 

B. MONEYCHANGER DEADLINES /RATES

The CME MoneyChanger Service will be available until 11:54:59 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2000. Any orders to buy or sell foreign currency entered after 12:00 p.m.

Friday, October 6, and before 1:54:59 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2000, will be executed on Tuesday, October 10, 2000, at rates of 2:00 p.m.

C. MONEYCHANGER VALUE DATES

Due to the effect of the U.S. bank holiday transaction processing, please note the following adjustments to the MoneyChanger dates:

D. DEPOSITS OF PERFORMANCE BOND COLLATERAL

The U.S. bank holiday will prevent the posting of transactions on Monday, October 9, 2000. Due to the U.S. bank holiday clearing firms will be unable to deposit additional collateral or withdraw excess collateral on Monday, October 9, 2000.

E. FOREIGN CURRENCY PERFORMANCE BOND CASH WITHDRAWALS

Due to the U.S. bank holiday�s effects on transaction processing, please note the following adjustments to value dates on foreign currency performance bond cash withdrawals:

G. A.M. SETTLEMENT CONFIRMATIONS

Although the U.S. banks are closed on Monday, October 9, 2000, your settlement bank will still provide an a.m. settlement confirmation for both U.S. dollar and foreign currency transactions by 6:40 a.m. on Monday, October 9, 2000. Payment for U.S. dollar settlement transactions from business as of Friday, October 6, 2000, will occur on Tuesday, October 10, 2000.  Payment for foreign currency settlement transactions from business as of Friday, October 6, 2000 will occur on Wednesday, October 11, 2000.

H. INTEREST EARNING FACILITY (IEF)

Due to the U.S. bank holiday�s effect on transaction processing, please note the following adjustments to IEF processing schedules.

IEF settlement elections for the Friday, October 6, 2000, ITD cycle will be set to �zero� for all firms. Clearing firms IEF settlement elections will be re-enabled by the Clearing  House, effective with the RTH cycle on Monday, October 9, 2000.

No IEF purchases/redemptions on Monday, October 9, 2000.

I. INTER-EXCHANGE PROCESSING

Both Inter-Exchange cycles will be run on Monday, October 9, 2000.
